A letter from santa - Santa's letterhead

My girls have not been their normal sweet selves lately so I was not completely surprised when we received a warning letter from Santa. Since reading it to her Ellie has been my sweet princess that I have missed. I just hope it lasts. Luckily our invisible elf Timmy checks in often so another letter, good or bad can follow any time needed. So glad Santa uses email as this letter came exactly when most needed!   Just thought I would share this with all of you so you can be on the look out for letters should your little ones need a reminder that Santa and his elves are watching.  ;)

PS.  I can not take credit for creating this letterhead for Santa.  He had it specially made from this very cool artist.  :)  You can find her site HERE.

Lake Norman Family Photographer - A Cold November Morning

Pin It
Burr was it cold this morning in Lake Norman.. and my two little subjects were not exactly in the mood to be dressed up taking pictures...  But... somehow we talked them into it and had some fun.  Our session was a bit shorter than usual so that we could get this sweet family off to some warmth but I am more than thrilled what we were able to capture!  Stacie you have a beautiful family and it was such a pleasure to meet and work with the four of you!  I have lots more to share with you, Can't wait!!  :)

Sniff... Two of my baby planners graduated over the past couple days.  I am still amazed by how time flys when you are an adult.  I have absolutely loved getting to know and work with Andrew and his family!  Andrew is the youngest of three boys and the current winner of my messiest smash cake smasher.  He actually spiked his cake!  LOL  B Family, I had a great time as usual and am already looking forward to next time!  :)  XOXO Melody

Rock Hill S.C Baby Photographer - Baby's first year plan

Yesterday was a very BIG day!  It was my sweet little friend Emma's ONE year portrait session, the final to our series of sessions in her baby plan.  You can catch a glimpse of her 3 month, 6 month and 9 month sessions at the links above.

Poor Emma is in the process of getting some brand new teeth and was a bit fussy, definitely not her normal smiley self... BUT a little patience and a bit of stubbornness (on my part) and we were still able to coax our sweet princess into a few smiles and lots of great images.  She was a bit hesitant to dig into her smash cake (Thank you amazing Mandy of Pure Confection in Concord N.C.) but once we cut it and placed a slice on a plate for her she was all about it.  I guess she is already a lady at only 1 year of age.  LOL

Aaron and Amy, I am so happy to have met you and have enjoyed really getting to know the three of you over Emma's 1st year.  I am already looking forward to many more memories in the years to come.  Thank you once again for welcoming me into your home and trusting me to be the one to capture these moments for you!!  XOXO ~ Melody

When I first met this sweet Family there were just three; an adorable couple and their brand new newborn baby boy Hollister. Now just five short years later they have added two beautiful baby girls to the family... 18 month old Hope and 12 month old Grace. Nope, thats not a typo. Figure that one out. LOL. Since our 1st session I have had the pleasure of working with the W Family many times and am happy to call them very good friends of mine. Amy, Dan, and littles it was so much fun to get to see you this weekend! Love you guys!!! xoxo ~ Mel

Lake Norman Family Photographer - {Two year old Triplets!}

Pin It

I have had the opportunity to work with lots of twins over the past years but have always wanted to get to work with triplets.  Today was my day!  :)  This beautiful mama won one of my gift certificates that was raffled off at a CMOM (Charlotte Moms of Multiples) Auction and contacted me to arrange a family session for her three 2 and a half year old boys.  I was beyond excited and a tad scared too.  LOL  I went to bed early the night before, wore sneakers and prepared myself for lots of running.  I brainstormed the best props to keep three tiny men in one spot and headed out prepared for chaos.  All my plotting and planning was for naught.  These three sweeties were just perfect!  With in the first 10 minutes of our session I already had some fantastic images on the camera.  I had such a wonderful time working with this adorable and sweet family!  Ansley,  it was such an absolute pleasure to work with the 5 of you!  I loved every minute of our time together and can not wait to get to show you the rest of our pictures!!!  I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek!  :)
