I love extended family sessions. I love getting to capture special moments from when everyone gets to all be together. This family does not get to see each other as often as they would like as they live quite a ways from one and other so it was a pretty special Occassion to have the whole crew together. Mama warned me that there would be 6 adults and 5 kiddos ages 7, 5, 4, 2 and just 2 months and I was ready to work! LOL Our 2nd littlest was in tears when I arrived. A sweet little 2 year old, newly a big sister, sad to be away from home, and who does not enjoy pictures. The odds were stacked against us. My clients told me that they chose me due to my "child whisperer" reviews. LOL Indeed the pressure was on! LOL I am pleased to say I think my reputation remains in tact. LOL. I am so glad you guys choose me! I had so much fun meeting and working with your adorable family! Here are just a few favs... I have lots more and can not wait to show you!!! :)

I have been photographing Chloe and Crystal for a few years now and love getting to see them. When their mama contacted me about doing an extended family session while family would be in town for the holiday I was thrilled. I love when parents and grandparents join in on photoshoots and create these very special memories for the children that they love. The main part of the session would focus on the four cousins who ranged from ages 11 to 14 and grandma Ruth. I am happy to say that I was able to convince all the adults to join in on a few shots. :) What a blast we had! With my beautiful willing models our shoot was a piece of cake! The hard part is narrowing them down. We have soooooo many images to choose from. Thanks for such an amazing and fun shoot! I LOVED every minute and can not wait to get to share the rest with you! I hope you are having a wonderful time together!
Time beat me this year and I did not get to print out Christmas Cards. I am determined to make it next year! LOL. Until then here is our digital Card. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy New Year!!!

One of my adorable little models from the UPsides calendar just became a big sister. I was so excited to get to meet 10 day old Wolfgang. This little man absolutely did not want to go to sleep and miss anything but the harder the fight... This little man gave it a truly valiant effort but in the end he finally gave in and was a dream to work with. Not to mention how cute he is! I am so happy with the images we were able to capture!

Meet my buddy Lilly. I have been photographing her and her brothers for years now and don't think I have ever seen her with out a smile on her face. I just love this sweet girl! She is as beautiful inside as she is outside. Lily dances at Grand Central Academy of Performing Arts in Cornelius and just loves it there! She was not able to make it to the class pictures so I was thrilled to get to snap a few of this cute little dancer for her. :)

Last year my daughter Sammi had a truly wonderful First grade teacher who she adored. This sweet woman was like a second mother to each and everyone of her students and made them all feel so very special. In addition to her school babies Mrs. B had four beautiful daughters of her own who she was so very proud of. Last year our community was heartbroken to learn that their youngest daughter 4 month old Julia was unexpectedly called to Heaven. The strength, love and faith of this dear family through what I can only imagine to be the very worst thing a family can ever go through was beyond inspiring. A few weeks ago I was honored when Mrs. B asked my to photograph the birth of their 5th daughter. Yesterday was the big day and words can not describe what a special day it was. This would be the 7th birth that I had the joy of documenting. It is always an amazing thing to be present when a child is born but knowing the journey that this family has traveled made it even more of a miracle. Congratulations James, Monica, Makayla, Valencia, and Nadia on the newest addition to your Family. She is perfect in every way and I am so very grateful to have been with you during one of the most important days in your life. Thank you for that honor! Welcome to the world Thai' Lia Malai! You are so very loved.
