A very special lady - Meet Jeanette!

This isn’t a sneak peek—it’s a huge shout-out to an absolutely amazing woman: Jeanette.
I’ve known Jeanette for years, ever since I photographed her daughter, Kylee—the very first child with Down syndrome I ever photographed. Meeting Kylee was the spark that inspired the Upsides calendar, something that may never have happened without that first session.
Jeanette is so much more than an incredible mom. She’s also a dedicated member of Three Brothers Animal Rescue, tirelessly rescuing and finding loving homes for countless kitties. Her compassion and commitment are unmatched.
On the day I (lovingly) “forced” her in front of my camera for this image, we were at a rescue event at Southern Strain. While most people spend their birthday relaxing or celebrating, Jeanette spent hers helping kittens find homes. That’s just who she is—selfless, kind, and full of heart.
Jeanette, you inspire me more than you know. Thank you for everything you do—for your family, for the animals, and for the community.
